Olden, Norway
Olden is a beautiful little village located at the mouth of the river Oldeelva in Vestlandet county. It is rated among the best cruise ship destinations in the world. What makes it such a popular destination for cruise ships is the breathtaking scenic beauty of the area with high mountain peaks, rivers, lakes and glaciers.
It is situated about 6 km southwest of the village of Loen and about a 16 km drive southeast of the municipal center of Stryn. The small village has a population of about 505 people and beside the cruise port you will find lovely cafes, grocery stores and some clothing shops.
It’s the doorway to the Jostedal Glacier, Europe’s largest mainland glacier.
