Destination Manager Trondheim
We - Møre og Trøndelag Guideservice - are looking for a Destination Manager in Trondheim starting in the summer season 2025.
MTGS mainly organizes shore excursions for passengers of cruise ships such as Aida, MSC, Costa, Mein Schiff, and more.
MTGS also offers its own excursions in Trondheim all year round under the brand "Trondheim City Tours".
The advertised job includes in particular the entire handling of these tours, starting with planning, booking guides and/or buses, handling the tours at the port and sending all relevant information and documents to our customers after a ship has called.
The basic requirement for this job is organizational and logistic talent, the greatest possible flexibility and, above all, enjoyment of dealing with a wide variety of people.
Very good English skills are necessary - further language skills - especially German or Norwegian - are an advantage.

First of all, who we are and what do we do?
Møre og Trøndelag Guide AS has been in existence for over 15 years and is headed by an Austrian / German team.
We are one of the leading guide companies in the Molde/Ålesund region, with more than 100 guides in the summer.
We provide our guides to large and small cruise ships such as Aida, TUI, Costa, MSC, Phoenix, Hurtigruten and many external tour operators to bring the incomparable beauty of Norway’s fjords and cities of our region to the passengers by bus or on foot.
The Position requirement is:
Our summer season starts in April / May. We therefore prefer employees who can arrive at the beginning of May and work until September/October. But also shorter periods are interesting for us.
In particular, you should fulfill the following requirements:
- at least 18 years old
- the most important thing for this job as a guide is to enjoy showing guests from different countries the beauty of the Norwegian fjords for a few hours a day. You will quickly learn everything you need to know about it.
- In addition to English it would be beneficial if you are able to speak one of the following languages, such as: German, Italian, Spanish, French and/or Norwegian) for guiding.
- representative, always friendly and sociable
- accommodation in Molde or Ålesund (we help you to find something)
- employees from the EU do not need a special work permit, but only have to register with the relevant authorities after their entry
What can we offer you:
- an exciting and varied summer job as a guide in the beautiful Fjordregion with Geiranger, Hellesylt and Olden beside different cities like Molde, Ålesund, Åndalsnes, Kristiansund and Trondheim
- guide assignments from beginning/middle of May until middle of September/October

- Form to apply for less taxes (kildeskatt) please note that there are special requirements here (like taxes on holiday payment and no tax compensation the next year) and that you cannot change anything later: Tax return for advance assessment of foreign employee
