From the meeting point, the bus takes us through the beautiful area outside Åndalsnes, to the land of trolls. During this excursion our guide will share a lot of interesting facts and fascinating stories with you.
The tour begins with a 15-minutes drive to the famous Troll Wall, the tallest vertical rock face in Europe, around 1,100 meters from the base to the summit. The view from the overhanging ledge is incredible and well worth it. On this part of the route we see the Rauma Railway, which runs alongside the road and takes us back towards Åndalsnes.
We continue through the Isterdal Valley before we drive up the famous Trollstigen serpentine road with a total of 11 hairpin bends - and watch out! Now is the time for the trolls! At the end of the road we make a photo stop in the valley to admire the beautiful 185 meter high Stigfossen waterfall. Up on the road, you will have some free time on the Trollstigen Plateau to admire the road and take in great views of the wild, unspoiled mountains and the Isterdal Valley. The next highlight will be a stop in the picturesque Gudbrandsdjuvet gorge.
After this photo stop we reach the fairytale valley Valldal, which is known for its delicious strawberries and which - if we are lucky - we can try at the right time between July and August. On our way to Stordal we pass the old Rose Church (built in 1789) and drive along the Storfjord to Sjøholt - a district of Møre og Romsdal - which is particularly known for the furniture industry.
Over the mountain Ørskog we come to Vestnes, where we travel 35 minutes by ferry to Molde. After a short city tour, our excursion ends at the port of Molde, the city of Roses and Jazz.
